Inpaint: fix or replace a specific area without redoing the whole image
March 2026·by Loumix Team·3 min read
Brush the part you want to change, describe what should be there instead. The rest of the image stays untouched.
You generated a great look but the sleeve is wrong, or there’s a weird artifact at the collar, or the background needs to change. Inpaint is the surgical fix — change exactly the region you mark and nothing else.
How to use it
- 01
Load the image
Drop in any generated or uploaded image you want to edit.

- 02
Mask the region to change
Use the brush to paint over the area. Keep the mask slightly larger than the actual edit area — sharp mask edges sometimes show through.

- 03
Describe the replacement
"Fitted cuffed sleeve in the same fabric" — short, concrete. The model only changes inside the mask.

- 04
Generate and refine
Re-run with a smaller mask if too much changed, or a larger one if the edge looks wrong. Multiple passes are normal.

Tips
- Feather the mask edges slightly — pixel-perfect masks look fake in the output.
- Inpaint a background change first, then re-Try-On — cleaner than trying to change everything at once.
