Pattern Try-On: drape any print on a real garment in seconds
Stop relying on flat repeats. See how a print actually falls on a hoodie, a dress, or a jacket before you cut anything.
A flat repeat tells you almost nothing about how a pattern lives on a body. Pattern Try-On takes the pattern you already designed and shows it draped on the garment of your choice — at the right scale, with realistic shadows, on a real-looking model. It’s the fastest way to kill a print that looks great on screen but reads as visual noise on a hoodie.
How to use it
- 01
Pick a pattern from your library
Open Pattern Try-On and choose any pattern from your generated library, or upload a fresh one. The tool accepts seamless tiles or full-bleed prints — both work.

- 02
Choose the garment type
Pick from t-shirt, hoodie, sweatshirt, dress, jacket — whichever silhouette the print is being designed for. The garment determines how the pattern wraps and where it stretches.

- 03
Set the repeat size in cm
This is the step everyone skips and regrets. Set the actual real-world repeat size. A 5 cm motif and a 30 cm motif look completely different on the same hoodie.

- 04
Generate and review the try-on
Hit generate. In a few seconds you’ll see the pattern draped on a photo-real model wearing the garment. Check how the print behaves at the seams, the collar, the sleeve — those are the places that always surprise you.

Tips
- If the print looks too busy, halve the repeat-size in cm and re-run — it’s usually a scale issue, not a design issue.
- Try the same pattern on a t-shirt AND a hoodie — fabric drape changes the read.
- Save the try-on result to your collection so you can compare colorways side-by-side.
