Print-Ready Audit: catch the issues your printer would have caught
DPI, color count, seam integrity, motif size, bleed — five checks that decide whether your pattern actually prints well or just looks good on screen.
Most patterns fail at the factory for the same five reasons. Print-Ready Audit runs the same five checks on your pattern in seconds — and offers a one-click fix on the ones that are fixable.
How to use it
- 01
Pick a pattern to audit
Open the audit page and choose any pattern from your library on the left rail. The selected pattern loads into the right panel.

- 02
Set the target fabric width
Default is 150 cm. Set it to whatever your actual fabric roll width will be — this is what every other check is calculated against.

- 03
Run the audit
The five checks run in parallel: DPI, distinct color count, seam-integrity, smallest-motif size, and bleed safety. Each comes back with a Pass / Warn / Fail verdict and a plain-English explanation.

- 04
Apply auto-fixes
Most fail reasons have a one-click fix attached: "Upscale to 4K" if DPI is too low, "Posterize to 6 colors" if the color count is screen-print-hostile. The auto-fix creates a derived pattern so you can compare original vs fixed.

Tips
- Run the audit on the same pattern at two fabric widths — what passes at 90 cm may fail at 150 cm.
- The auto-fixes generate a new pattern, not overwrite the old one — your original stays in the library.
- A "Needs work" verdict isn’t a fail — it’s a flag. If it’s a digital print run, "Needs work" usually still goes through.
